Another Anti-aging product I recently tried ... is called Skin Rescue RX by Advanced Skin Care. They also advertise it on Amazon as A Botox Alternative - Snake Peptide, with a bunch of other peptides. Which is where I got it, on Amazon. I know that peptides are good for your skin so I figured I'd give it a try. And, I've recently been reading about the snake or Syn-ake peptide that act's as a Botox like ingredient(but without the painful injections). I'm not one for needles. So, any topical products I can use that will give me similar results, I'm all for.
Before I started using it, I wasn't really expecting to much. I figured if it helped some it would be worth it. But as you know(or if you've read my other posts) I haven't had much luck with finding products that work. But boy am I glad I decided to try this. I figured I'd give it a try since its reasonably priced. Then I wouldn't be to upset if it didn't work. But, it really did help tighten & tone my under eye area & crow's feet. A lot better than I was expecting. So I am really happy with it. When I apply it, I put a little on my finger and lightly swipe it under my eyes & crow's feet a couple times. Then I lightly rub it in just a little. But, only for a couple seconds, then pat the rest in. Because for one, you really don't want to rub hard or tug at your delicate under eye area. But, also if you keep rubbing it in, as it starts to dry, it will start to pill(or ball up) and come off. And you don't want it to come off or it won't work right. You really don't need much. I only use a little bit for each under eye area. Probably about one small pump, split between both under eye areas. If it still feels wet after I pat it in, then I take a piece of paper or card board & fan it. This helps to dry it the rest of the way, before I apply my moisturizer & make-up. I also use it on my forehead, around my mouth and chin as well as under my eyes. Or, sometimes I put it all over my whole face and neck. The only thing is, that once you wash it off at the end of the day, it seems some of the results go with it. But I just apply more for the night. I usually apply it twice a day(once in the morning & once at night). With all the great ingredients in it, it should help where ever you apply it, to keep improving over time. Just the few weeks that I have used it, I notice a difference in the lines, wrinkles & puffiness around my eyes starting to diminish. Even the dark circles under my eyes have lightened some. Yay! I notice the best/most results shortly after I apply it. Usually within a few minutes. Which is great that it works that fast. And for how bad my under eye area was before, I'll take whatever help I can get. But it really does make a difference. At least, it has for me. I like it because its fast acting. Meaning it works within a few minutes after applying it. But because it has a lot of "good for your skin" ingredients(vitamins & peptides as well as the snake or Syn-ake peptide) in it, it works over time too. And its easy to apply. If you decide to try it, start with a tiny amount on a small spot on your face first. Just to make sure you don't have any reactions to it. I don't know of something like that happening to anyone. But you never know. Its better to be safe than sorry, right? I bought it on Amazon for around $20. Which isn't a bad price for how well it works. It has 600 reviews and a 4 1/2 out of 5 star rating, & that's pretty good. I would have to agree. I would give it a 4 1/2 out of 5 star rating too. But you be the judge, I will post a recent picture below. You can notice a difference under my eyes in the picture below, compared to the one I posted at the beginning and on my last post.(Sorry that the pictures aren't the greatest). I can tell a big difference. But that's because I can see my skin close up too & without make-up. But I think the Skin Rescue RX really has helped. So I will continue to use it, until I find something that works better. Let me know in the comments what you think. Or if you've tried anything that you like & that works for you. Thanks & have a great day! Below ..... The first picture is the Skin Rescue RX.(on Amazon) Next to that are my pictures. The picture in the middle(or the 1st of my pictures) is after using the Strivectin. And the last picture is after I started using the Skin Rescue RX. I hate that 1st picture of me but I wanted to show it since it shows what my under eyes looked like before I started using the Skin Rescue RX. Big difference under my eyes, huh?(Especially from before I started using the Strivectin, on my 1st post). If you click on any of the blue/green underlined ... Skin Rescue RX or on the Amazon product picture below, it will take you to the product on Amazon, if you'd like to read more about it.

I just wanted to write a quick update to show you a picture of what I look like after using the Strivectin products for a few months. I think the Strivectin products really helped to diminish the lines, wrinkles, puffiness and dark circles. Now the lines, wrinkles & puffiness, aren't completely gone. But the Strivectin products did make a difference around my eyes in what they looked like before I started using them, as you will see in the pictures I post below. I had some pictures I had taken shortly after using the Strivectin products, some without make-up and some with make-up. Well, we had a power outage and my camera was plugged into my computer when it happened. The pictures I took without make-up some how vanished, when we had the power outage. So the only picture I have is with make-up. But I think you'll still be able to see the difference. The make-up might help hide some of the problem area's(lines, wrinkles & puffiness) around my eyes. But you can still see there is a difference from before I used the Strivectin products till after I used them. In fact, maybe I should load the picture of before I started using them again too. Just so you don't have to go searching for it. Again, if you are interested in the Strivectin products I used, I will put the links down below under my pictures. If you would like to read about me using them, that is on my last post. If you happened to have tried any of the Strivectin products, let me know what you think in the comments. Thanks! p.s. I know, everyone tells me how different I look with make-up. :)
After trying all of those products, as well as some other samples I had gotten in between, that didn't work, I was about to give up. I don't remember some of the other sample products I tried since I can't seem to find the packets. But they must not have worked to good.
In the mean time, I had more stressful things happen and under my eyes had gotten even worse, even puffier at times(if you could even imagine that). So, I was really discouraged. Right around that time I had received another sample in the mail for Strivectin. Once things calmed down a little, I decided to give it a try. I figured it couldn't hurt. I had heard some good things about Strivectin. I read some reviews that people were having some success with it. But, mainly those reviews were about their stretch mark remover creams. I believe it was around this time that they came out with their facial cream. Which is probably why I was able to get a free sample. Any way, since I had a free sample, I figured I'd give it a try. Now these free samples come in a very small package. Where you only get a couple uses from them. I figured I'd just try and use it right around my eyes so I could get as many uses out of it as I could. I applied it after I had washed my face for the night. And again I just applied it right around my eyes. Almost every time I used it, it made my eyes water. I'm guessing that's because it was meant to use on your whole face and not a specific eye cream. But, I kept using it because it seemed that the puffiness around my eyes was slowly going down. And it was nice and creamy and moisturizing. But, mainly because I felt like it was helping, at least a little. Since the sample pack was so small, there was only enough in there for me to use around my eyes for about a week. But because I felt like it was doing something I wanted to try more. I looked around online for more samples but couldn't find any. I looked around some more and found that Amazon sold the Strivectin Eye Tightening Cream. I would have just bought it from Strivectin.com but I had a credit at Amazon so I figured I'd check there. The Strivectin Eye Tightening Cream has NIA 114 which is a Vitamin B3 nutrient that helps strengthen & nourish the skin. It absorbs in to the skin effectively helping to repair lines, wrinkles & stretch marks. I used the Strivectin Tightening Eye Cream every night. After the first couple of weeks, I noticed the puffiness going down more, my dark circles were starting to lighten and some of my finer lines filling in a little. This is the first product I tried that I actually seen some results with. So, I continued using it. After several months using the Strivectin Tightening Eye Cream, most of the puffiness under/around my eyes was gone. The dark circles have lightened but are still a little visible. But not nearly as much as before. And some of the finer lines/wrinkles have filled in some. However, since under my eyes were so puffy before, I think it stretched the skin there some. So, now instead of the puffiness, the skin is sagging a little bit. A little while ago I noticed Strivectin came out with another product that is fairly similar to the eye cream, but it has Retinol in it. Its the Strivectin - AR Advanced Retinol Night Treatment. It still has the NIA 114 in it but it also contains Retinol. So, I have now switched to using that. I'm hoping that will help tone & tighten the sagging skin. The Strivectin is the first product I've tried that actually gave me some results. And, I've tried a lot of them. I listed the main products I tried. But, there have been others I haven't listed here. That's either because I threw the package away, forgot about it or they weren't worth mentioning. Plus, I didn't want the list go on forever. So, I could get to the product that worked. Or actually does(at least some) what it claims its supposed to do. Or at least it did for me. If your interested in the Strivectin products here are links to them. They are a little cheaper if you purchase them from Amazon then if you would purchased them right from Strivectin. Here are the link to Strivectin-TL & Strivectin-AR ......
If you have any questions, suggestions or comments, please enter them in the "comments" section below. Thank you and have a great day! I just wanted to write a quick message or rather a word of warning. As I was looking around for some of the newer anti-aging products I came across a few things. First some of the ways these "Trails" or "Free Trials"(meant to get your credit card info) and how they're set up with auto-ship. How they spin their ads to make it seem like you need more than 1 product. And, they don't even list the ingredients.
Two of the latest and greatest products I came across were, Puravol & Raviderm, that are now all the rage in anti-aging. Saying things like they are taking the place of harmful Botox injections. Now, that's a pretty big claim, don't you think? To be able to just apply a couple creams instead of getting painful injections? I wanted to jump in and write a quick post about these products because of some information I found out about them. Well, not only about them but others that are promoted like them, too. Ads like these are all over the internet. And I wanted to caution you about them. I'm glad I did a little research about these products before I went and bought them. First, they make it seem that you need to use both of these products to get results. The results they claim for Puravol say that they reduce under-eye dark circles and bags, without Botox. Raviderm claims to eliminate wrinkles, promote collagen and plump the skin. Now these 2 products pertain to exactly what I'm looking for. So, I thought they would be perfect for me. And, they both had a "Free Trials"(which I'll tell you more about below). But, doing a little research showed these products weren't really all that different from other anti-aging products out there. A lot of reviews I came across for these products didn't seem to have many people ranting or raving about them. In fact, it was the opposite. So I thought I'd try and find out what ingredients where in these products. Puravol just says that it includes vitamins, peptides and antioxidants. Raviderm doesn't disclose what ingredients are in their product(which makes me wonder even more about it). It just says it uses natural ingredients. I like to know what products/ingredients I'm putting on or in my body. A little more digging around and I found out what some of the ingredients are in Puravol. The first ingredients are water & glycerin, followed by some peptides. Being that water is listed first, means its mostly water.. Raviderm, again all I could find was, it contained anti-oxidants and moisturizing agents. Which I found out was Matrixyl 3000, which is a good product. But Matrixyl 3000 is in many other anti-aging products. So its nothing new. Quite a few of the Puravol ad pages, I'd click on links to find out more information, or the trial order form took me to a page to order a different product called Cellumis. Which, is another anti-aging product claiming great "Better than Botox" results. Ingredients of Cellumis contain Maytrixyl, Hyaluronic Acid and Argireline. Now these ingredients are pretty common in a lot of other anti-aging products. The main thing I wanted to write(or warn you about from above) these *Free Trial" products are ... for one, they aren't really "Free". There is a small shipping charge of around $5. But, that's how they get you(or rather your credit card number/info.). In their "Terms" *(make sure you always read the terms and conditions because this is how they "get you"), you get a small trial size sent to you. By "get you" I mean they sign you up for an auto ship program. They will keep sending you product and will keep charging your credit card, until you cancel. You only have 12-14 days, from the time you place your "Trial" order(when you hit the order button) to decide if you want to keep the product or not. That's barely enough time for shipping let alone time to try the product and see if you get any results. Then they charge your credit card around $100 and send out a 30 day supply to you. They will keep charging your card and will keep sending product every 30 days until you cancel. I've heard that with some of these companies its hard to get a hold of them to cancel. If or when you get a hold of them, you need to get a Return Authorization(RA) number from them to be able to return the product. Then you have to pack up and ship/mail(paying for return shipping yourself) the product(along with the "Return Authorization(RA)" number back to them, for them to cancel your order or future orders. Most of them will wait until they have received the product & RA number back to cancel your order/account. By the time you receive the product, try it, get a hold of them to get the RA(return authorization number), if you can even get a hold of them, pack the product up and ship it back. That seems like it would take more then 12-14 days. I think they do that so they can charge you for another shipment. Again, that's how they "get you" or more like trick you. *A word of warning or caution, please be really careful with these latest & greatest products. Its not only the anti-aging products. I could be anything really(especially these stand alone, whole page ads) claiming "Free Trials". And even some infomercials too. *Please be sure to do your research and make sure to read the terms & conditions. Look around to find out if these products really deliver on what they are claiming. Or check back here to see if I've written anything about it yet(or you can always ask me about it). *And please be really careful about the "Terms and Conditions"(make sure you read them really well). Find out if there's an auto-ship and/or monthly charge you would automatically be put into. If so, find out how long you have to receive the product, try it & cancel(getting an RA) and shipping the product back, before you'll be charged for it or any more. And make sure you give yourself enough time to cancel(& send the product back). Listen to your gut feeling. As with anything, if it sounds to good to be true, it probably is. Also, check what the ingredients are. They are usually listed in order of amount, with the most listed first. If it starts with something like water(then its mostly water) that's the main ingredient or has the most of that. And if the ingredient your looking for is listed last, then there probably isn't much of that ingredient in there. You might be able to find other products, that contain the ingredients your looking for, for less, if you look around online. And it might even contain more of those ingredients. So, say for example, you find a product that the main ingredient is Matrixyl and the product costs $100. Look around online for other products that contain Matrixyl(listed somewhere near the beginning of the list) that contain it. You will most likely find something containing it that costs less. Possibly for even half(or more) of the price. And it may even contain other beneficial ingredients. And, another note ... Just because its on Dr. Oz(tv show or website) or any other well known personality, that doesn't mean it really works or is worth it. Make sure to do your own research on it. Even if it means waiting a few weeks for reviews of others who have tried it. It will save you a lot of head aches, time and money. *Update. I just wanted to add .... I just seen another anti-aging product being advertised with the same exact ad page for a product called ... Renue Beauty Vitamin C Serum. It says the ingredients are Vitamin C & Hyaluronic Acid. Which there are many products you can get with those ingredients, that cost less & with out being put into an auto-ship program. It claims a 55 year old looks 35 again(without Botox or surgery). Plus, this one they charge a restocking fee if you return the product. It seems every week I get another email for another "latest & greatest" new anti-aging product. It claims to take away all your facial aging skin problems, same as the last one did. Its kind of funny because they all have the same exact ad page, just a new product inserted where the last one was. Just please be careful out there. And don't fall for any of those "Free Trial" scams. If you ever have any questions about any products, please don't hesitate to ask. Whether you have any questions, comments or suggestions, please enter them in the "Comments" section. And I will answer asap. Thanks and have a great day!!! *Below are sample pictures of the products I talked about it this post. One day when I was in the store looking around at all the anti-aging products, I came across a small trial type tube of Aveeno Positively Ageless. I thought to myself that Aveeno was supposed to be a good anti-aging product line. So I decided to give it a try. It did seem to soften my lines & wrinkles a little. So I continued to use it. But it only seem to soften them shortly after I applied it. The results weren't long lasting. But I liked that it was nice & creamy and easy to apply. I just wish it kept softening my lines & wrinkles.
Next, I received a sample of another product I never heard of called Perlabella. It was a card with about 5 or 6 little (I don't even know what you would call them). Its a tiny soft plastic pearl type thing that you twit the top off and squeeze the product out. I actually received 2 of these products. One said it had some kind of Q10(probably an antioxidant) and that one made my skin real soft. But, I didn't really see any improvements after using it a week(other than my skin being real soft after using it). The other one said it had retinol in it. When I used this one, it made my skin soft & helped soften the lines & wrinkles. It didn't make them go away. But, it did help soften them. However, I believe it was really expensive. I tried to look up how much it cost but I couldn't find much information on it, so it might have been discontinued. Again, while shopping I stopped at the isle with the anti-aging products and came across the Neutrogena Rapid Wrinkle Repair Moisturizer. This is supposed to have retinol in it to help with wrinkles. I read up on it online and it sounded like it would be a good product for me to try. However, again I sadly report that it really didn't do to much for my problem areas. I really thought this would work for me. For one, it had retinol in it(that's supposed to help with lines & wrinkles). I read up on it that seemed like it would work. Another I used it faithfully every day/night for over a month. And, I still didn't get any results from it. When I was at the store, when I bought the Neutrogena, I had also seen another product similar which was the Roc Deep Wrinkle Serum. So I bought that and tried that next. Again since I bought the full product and used it for over a month until I had used every single last drop, I thought it would have helped at least some. But, I really didn't see any difference in my skin or problem areas. And I believe that is supposed to have retinol in it too. However, since they are sold in any store, I'm thinking that there probably isn't to much retinol in them. So, I figured I'd mainly concentrate on my eye area since that's where I have the most problems. So, I decided to try a product called Dr. Lewinn by Kinerase Under Eye Recovery. But again ..... nothing. I used the whole tube and I didn't see any difference at all. I just can't believe out of all the product I tried so far that I haven't gotten any results from any of them. There were a few more samples that I received that I tried but I didn't save the empty pack & I don't remember what they were now. But, if I remember then I will add them in. But, from all the product I tried so far, I can't believe none of them have made any difference at all. Except for a little bit of the BB cream. But, that was only temporary and washed off when the product was washed off. So, I thought, maybe I need to get away from the store brand products and try something a little better(thats probably going to cost more money though). But I'm willing to give it a try as long as I can get some results. Below are a sample of what the products I tried and told you about above. Stay turned for more products that I tried and their results ..... If you have any questions, comments or suggestions, please leave them in the "comments" section below. Thank you and have a great day! Since I had gotten into trying to find something that would help my problem area's on my face, (lines & wrinkles, bags & puffiness, dark circles, fat pads and over all skin texture) I went online and kept an eye out for any samples places were giving away and signed up for them. So the next several products or so I tried were a lot of the samples I had received.
I had received a sample of Garnier Ultra-Lift Transformer and tried that. Although it was nice and creamy & went on easily, it sadly didn't transform my skin. I did make it feel pretty well moisturized. But, it didn't do anything for any of my problem area's(lines & wrinkles, bags & puffiness or fat pads). I also received a product I never heard of before called Dr. Ci:Labo Aqua Collagen-Gel Super Moisture. This was pretty liquidy(hence the Aqua part in the name) probably like a liquidy serum type product. But this did absolutely nothing at all for my skin. I received another sample pack that came on a card with about 7-10 sample packs(one for each day) called Algenist with Alguronic Acid(I believe that's supposed to be something like Hyaluronic acid.). I actually got 2 nights use out of 1 pack, so I lasted me a couple weeks. But, again, it really didn't do anything to my skin or help any problem areas. Now I can't really say that these products don't work because I only used them for a few days to a couple weeks or so. Maybe if I used them longer I might see some improvements. But, I'm hoping to find something that will give me at least a little help within the first week or so. I would purchase the product & keep using it if I could see even a little bit of a difference on my problem area's in the first week or two. I also received a sample of Maybelline Dream Fresh BB Cream. This is a tinted cream. Although it didn't correct any of my problems, it did help hide some of them. Since its tinted, it helped hide blemishes/breakouts and even my skin tone out. But, that's only when the product is on. Once you wash it off, them everything is back. Please stay turned because I still have more products to tell you about. Below are a sample of what the products I told you about above. If you have any questions, comments or suggestions, please leave them in the "Comments" section below. Thank you and have a great day!!! First I wanted to tell you that I got one of those battery operated facial cleansing brushes(similar to a Clarisonic). I read that its good to exfoliate your skin. So, newer, fresher skin underneath shows and encourages your skin cells to turn over more frequently. Thus, causing better, fresher, smoother skin to grow underneath.
So, I was thinking, if I used a cleansing brush, it would help exfoliate the dead skin off, showing newer, fresher, smoother and hopefully tighter skin to show underneath. Well, it does help to clean your pores better. And it does help to exfoliate the dead skin off. My skin is really soft & smooth after I use it. So, the texture is a little better & brighter. But, so far I haven't noticed any difference with my problem areas.(again, the lines & wrinkles, bags & puffiness, fat pads or dark circles). Although, I don't go real close to my eyes with that. They say to be as gentle as possible with the skin under your eyes, since your skin is really thin & delicate there. So, I don't use it on that area. That's why I haven't gotten any results there. The next set of products I tried where Clinique anti-aging products. I figured Clinique is a reputable brand and have been around quite a while. So, their products should be pretty good, right??? Well ..... we'll see ..... I went to Sephora to get a free sample of Clinique's All About Eyes since the regular size is pretty expensive. When I got there and got the sample of All About Eyes, the lady told me that the Repairware is really good, too. So, she gave me a sample of that. I really like their samples there because they put them in a small re-closable container. And they put enough in so you can use it several times. The samples I got lasted me well over a week. I used the All About Eyes around my eyes and the Repairware on the rest of my face. I liked the creamy, silky texture of both and both were very moisturizing. After the sample ran out, I wasn't sure if I was seeing any difference or not. So, I went online to see if I could find a cheaper price for both. I did find it cheaper on Amazon, so I bought both. They both lasted me a little over a month, using sparingly to make it last as long as I could. After finishing both, my skin seemed a little smoother(although that might have had something to do with using the cleansing brush too). The lines and wrinkles around my eye seemed like they may have been the tiniest bit diminished. But, not very much. I think these product might be more for using before you get lines & wrinkles to help prevent you from every getting them. But, once you have them, its really, really hard to find something to diminish them. I figured since I did see a tiny difference with the Clinique line that maybe I would try something else in that line. So, I bought & tried a regular size of Clinique Turnaround Overnight cream and the Repairware Lazer Focus serum. And I used the full product which lasted me a little over a month. But, sadly, I didn't notice any other difference with those. Below are sample pictures of what the product look like that I just told you about above, in order.. You'll want to stay tuned because I'll be getting into some products that I finally seen some results with. If you have any questions, comments or suggestions, please leave them in the "comments" section below. Thank you and have a great day!!! As I mentioned before I have always used a moisturizer on my face & neck. But it wasn't until several years ago that I started using products especially for anti-aging. I started using products from the drug store because they were quick and easy to get and they were affordable(for the most part). I believe the very first anti-aging product I started using was Oil of Olay. And, although it did moisturize my skin, it didn't really do anything for any of my problem areas. Since I liked Olay as a moisturizer, I tried the Olay Regenerist anti-aging moisturizer. Again, it moisturized my skin good but I didn't see any results on my problem areas. Although this might have helped keep me from getting any more lines and wrinkles(if I continued to use it), it didn't help diminish the one's I already had. Then I received a sample of Garnier Ultra-Lift, so I tried that. When I applied it, it did seem to tighten/lift my skin, ever so slightly. So I went to buy it to try it longer to see if using it longer would help any more. When I was at the store looking for the Ultra-Lift I seen something in the same line. It was the Garnier Ultra-Lift Targeted Line Smoother, Tightener + Cream. Now this seemed like it would be something more on the lines of what I needed. So, I bought that and used it. I think the bottle lasted me around a month. Again, it did give my skin just a slightly lifted look after applying it. But, the lifted look didn't seem to last to long(maybe an hour or so). And after about a month of use, I didn't really notice any improvements, on my face or around my eyes, other than it being moisturized. Next, I received another sample in the mail. This was for Loreal Revitalift Triple Power. I was thinking, Wow, triple power! This must be good. Now the sample pack only contains enough for a couple uses. When I tried it, like the Garnier, it did give my skin an ever so slightly lifted look. But again, it didn't last long. At the same time, I also received and tried a sample of the Loreal Revitalift Miracle Blur. I didn't like that at all. Its supposed to help Blur your lines and wrinkles. But it would just ball up and rub off when I put it on. If I just wiped it over my wrinkles once, lightly, without rubbing or wiping it(just a very thin layer) it looked alright, until I moved my face(smiled, squinted, etc.). Then it would crease and make my wrinkles look even worse. So, I'd have to wipe over it & it would ball up and wipe off. So that didn't last to long or work to good for me, either. It was just really hard to get it to go on right. Next I will tell you about some more products I tried and their results. So, stay turned! : ) *Below are pictures of the products I mentioned in this post that I tried so you can get an idea of what they look like.
